The Caf? is targeted at people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic attacks or other mental health conditions, but who are one or two steps away from a level of need that makes them eligible for self-directed support with an individual budget.

SAVTE

Sheffield Association for the Voluntary Teaching of English (SAVTE) aims to reduce isolation by providing people with life changing language skills so that they can engage with everyday life in new ways, progress to further training, education and employment and integrate into their local and mainstream communities. Volunteers at SAVTE provide ESOL curriculum tuition in local learning groups, conversation group and even one-to-one sessions in the learner's home. SAVTE also provides access to an ESOL directory, showing all the ESOL provision in the Sheffield area.

Men in Sheds (Age UK)

Men in Sheds supports older men who want to get together, share and learn new skills all in the welcoming setting of a workshop. It also supports older men who are isolated or disengaged from their community or are experiencing major changes in life. Men in Sheds provide the sheet, tools and equipment and a paid co-ordinator and a team of volunteers to support but the members take part in the day-to-day running of the shed and decided on the activities they want to follow including woodworking, skills sharing and socialising.
